180 Students Graduate STEMpower Digital Skills Program
STEMpower South Sudan has awarded certificates to 180 students who completed a four-month Digital Skills Program conducted across its six STEM centers nationwide. The training was held in Juba, Aweil, Yambio, Abyei, Rumbek, and Wau from February 14th to June 7th, 2026. The training, conducted across six centers nationwide including Juba, Aweil, Yambio, Abyei, Rumbek, and Wau, focused on essential ICT skills. Participants learned Microsoft Office Suite applications and internet navigation. Thirty of the graduates are affiliated with the University of Juba. The program aims to foster economic independence among young South Sudanese through digital literacy and innovation. This marks the second cohort of graduates, with over 500 individuals having benefited from the program to date. Graduates expressed readiness to apply their new skills for community development and urged support for education and an end to early marriage.
This initiative addresses the critical need for digital skills development in South Sudan, empowering youth for economic opportunities and societal progress.
