The black-and-white footage, shared by "VBU Music Archive," dates back to 1967, showing a young Petreska with dark hair performing at the "Omladina" festival in Subotica. She sang the song "Vetetot, ti i jas" (The Wind, You and I), composed by Goce Dimitrovski. The clip highlights her early talent and vocal prowess, which would later establish her as a prominent figure in Macedonian music. Petreska, originally from Prilep, has been a beloved artist for decades, known for her emotional delivery and unique interpretations of folk and pop songs. She has spoken about her lifelong passion for singing, which began in childhood despite a patriarchal upbringing. The singer also shared her personal struggles, including becoming a widow at a young age and raising two children alone, choosing not to remarry to dedicate herself fully to them.
