SIT Probes Missing Ram Temple Donations in UP

The Uttar Pradesh government has established a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate claims of missing donation funds at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This action was prompted by a request from the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust. The SIT is tasked with submitting preliminary findings within seven days and a final report within fifteen days. The formation of the SIT follows allegations made by Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, who claimed that significant amounts of donated money had disappeared. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has stated that internal audits are in progress and have not yet revealed any substantial discrepancies. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized the opposition for spreading rumors.
