Tomac indicated that while not strictly obligated to negotiate with the European Commission, maintaining predictability regarding budget deficit targets is essential. The indexation will be correlated with inflation, as stipulated by law. He assured that a thorough budget evaluation would be completed within a maximum of two months to ensure proposed measures do not come as a surprise.
