Rezaul Karim's Garden: Fifty Plus Mango Varieties Grown Alongside Job

Driven by passion, Rezaul Karim has cultivated a remarkable garden featuring over fifty varieties of mango trees on his property in Saria village, Moulvibazar's Barlekha Upazila. Despite a recent severe drought, the garden currently boasts approximately 37 different types of mangoes, showcasing a diverse range of sizes, colors, and flavors. Karim, who works at a private educational institution, dedicates his spare time to nurturing this non-commercial orchard, finding immense satisfaction in its abundance. The garden, spanning nearly two acres, also contains numerous other fruit trees, creating a lush, almost wild environment. He began planting mango saplings in 2017, gradually expanding his collection of diverse mango varieties sourced both locally and internationally. The current season's harvest, though affected by drought and a temporary irrigation motor malfunction, still offers a continuous display of ripening mangoes for about a month.
