CCDA Launches Passenger Boats for Bougainville's Atolls

The Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA), in collaboration with the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG), has officially launched and delivered four 32-foot passenger boats. These vessels are part of the Building Resilience to Climate Change (BRCC) Project and are intended to serve the atoll communities of Fead, Carterets, Mortlock, and Tasman. The boats will significantly improve transportation for residents, essential goods, and services in these vulnerable island regions. This initiative aims to provide safer and more dependable transit options for the atoll dwellers. The handover ceremony took place at Kuri Lodge in Buka.
