Už roky říkají někteří lidé z Chvalkovic na Dačicku, že jsou svědky kopání do psa a bití dalších domácích zvířat u jednoho ze sousedů. Jedna žena natočila i video, postih dotčeného ale i tak zůstává nejistý. Místní opakovaně upozorňovali úřady, policii i veterinární správu, chybělo ale víc důkazů. Local authorities, police, and veterinary administration have been alerted repeatedly, but a lack of sufficient evidence has hindered action. Last year, the veterinary administration forwarded only 22 cases with clear evidence to the police, despite receiving thousands of complaints. The current animal protection law defines cruelty as causing pain, suffering, or health damage, with penalties for offenders. However, proving such acts in practice remains a significant challenge.
