This leads to significant yield improvements, with reported reductions in losses of up to 7% for soybeans and 4% for rice. Operating these drones requires adherence to regulations set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) for pesticide application and the Department of Airspace Control (Decea) for airspace access. Operators involved in crop spraying must complete a preparatory course and maintain updated registration with the ministry.
