SpaceX is set to launch its Falcon 9 rocket for the first time since its public trading debut on the Nasdaq. The mission, Starlink 17-54, will deploy 24 broadband satellites into low Earth orbit. The launch is scheduled for Monday morning from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Liftoff is planned for 7 a.m. PDT, with live coverage starting 30 minutes prior. The Falcon 9 first stage booster, B1093, will attempt a landing on a drone ship in the Pacific. This will be the 14th flight for B1093, following several previous missions. A successful landing would mark the 203rd on the drone ship and the 624th booster landing for SpaceX.
This launch highlights SpaceX's ongoing operational capabilities and progress in satellite deployment and rocket reusability.
