Anvisa suspende lotes Ypê por falhas na fabricação

A Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) has decided to maintain the suspension of specific batches of Ypê cleaning products manufactured before March and April 2026. This decision follows the identification of deficiencies in the company's Good Manufacturing Practices. The measure, published in the Official Gazette, affects disinfectants, dish soaps, and laundry detergents produced by Química Amparo, the brand's manufacturer. This action is a continuation of a crisis that began in May when Anvisa initially suspended two production lines at the company's factory in Amparo, São Paulo. The suspension was due to irregularities found during a sanitary inspection related to compliance with RDC nº 47/2013. After the company implemented corrective measures, a reinspection allowed production to resume, but the suspension of older products remained pending analysis of manufacturer reports. The new resolution specifies that the suspension applies to disinfectants (Bak Ypê and Pinho Ypê), dish soaps (various Ypê versions), and liquid laundry detergent (Tixan Ypê, various versions), all with lot numbers ending in "1" produced before the specified dates. The agency cited non-compliance with RDC nº 47/2013 requirements as the reason, though specific irregularities and health damage reports were not detailed.
