If Democrats fail to enforce accountability, Americans might look to Argentina's escraches as an example. Greg Bovino, a former Border Patrol chief, recently attended a 'remigration summit' in Portugal and interacted with right-wing extremist Martin Sellner. Bovino and Sellner quickly found common ground. Tina Peters, a former elections clerk with a commuted sentence, has been appearing on Steve Bannon's show to claim Democrats will cheat in the midterms. It's uncommon for those out of office to show remorse, but even rarer for them to profit from their past actions and conspiracy theories. It's likely only a matter of time before those responsible for the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti will profit through podcasts promoting MAGA ideals.
