Rahmon presents investment projects to Qatari business

President Emomali Rahmon met with Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al Thani, chairman of the Qatar Business Association and Al Faisal Holding. The meeting focused on expanding economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan, the Qatar Business Association, and Al Faisal Holding. Discussions highlighted attracting investments for major infrastructure and industrial projects in key economic sectors. Topics included industry, agriculture, transport, hydropower, banking, education, healthcare, tourism, and modern infrastructure. Qatar has participated in several large projects in Tajikistan, including the Central Mosque in Dushanbe. In 2025, Qatar Fund for Development signed a preferential loan agreement for the Rogun Hydropower Plant. Previous discussions covered new investment and charitable projects, some of which are still in planning stages. Al Faisal Holding is a major Qatari private holding company established in 1964, operating in real estate, hospitality, construction, industry, trade, and financial investments.
This meeting highlights growing economic ties between Tajikistan and Qatar, focusing on investment opportunities and infrastructure development.
