Take action over officials in Kyrgyzstan ‘helping Russia evade sanctions’, MPs and peers say

The lawmakers specifically called for personal sanctions to be imposed on three senior Kyrgyz officials. These officials are accused of enabling broader sanctions evasion and allowing the country to host infrastructure for a cryptocurrency, A7A5, which is reportedly pegged to the Russian ruble.
This situation highlights concerns about the effectiveness of international sanctions and the potential for secondary actors to undermine them.
