This program is designed to transition these children away from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and into state-provided services. Federal Health Minister Mark Butler stated that all other states and territories have agreed to the reforms, which are linked to significant hospital funding for each jurisdiction.
Queensland's decision not to sign could jeopardize billions in hospital funding and impact the provision of essential services for young children with developmental needs.
