Staff from the Medical Stores Department (MSD) visited the Zanzibar Central Medical Stores Agency (CMSA) to evaluate how MSD services support the agency's operations and discuss challenges affecting health commodity availability. CMSA's Acting Director General, Lulu Sheikh Abdulrahman, highlighted the importance of the long-term partnership with MSD through a Memorandum of Understanding. She noted that the collaboration has improved access to essential medicines and medical supplies in Zanzibar. Abdulrahman praised MSD's consistent performance, which allows CMSA to continue sourcing medicines through the department. MSD's Acting Forecasting Unit Manager, Oscar Tenganamba, emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in forecasting health commodity needs. The visit also included a tour of CMSA's pharmaceutical warehouse to review storage systems. Both institutions exchanged experiences to improve healthcare supply management.
