Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan's economy has exited the 'intensive care unit' after facing financial difficulties. He mentioned that the country was insolvent when the first budget was presented, but has now become solvent with the help of the IMF. Asif expressed confidence that Pakistan could achieve a growth rate of 6-7% in one or two years. He emphasized the need to eliminate inbuilt taxes to create a conducive environment for tax payment. Asif also addressed the issue of terrorism in Balochistan, highlighting the collective responsibility of all parties involved. He praised Pakistan's role in brokering the US-Iran agreement and acknowledged the efforts of the army leadership and the prime minister.
