Russia and South Sudan Strengthen Diplomatic Ties
Russian – South Sudanese ties date back to Moscow’s recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Sudan declared on July 9, 2011. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on July 22 of the same year. Until December 2025, bilateral cooperation was facilitated through the Embassy of our country in Uganda, which performed its functions concurrently.
