UFO powerful observed from distant black hole
Astronomers have detected one of the most powerful ultra-fast outflows ever seen from a distant supermassive black hole. Using XMM-Newton and NuSTAR, a team studied a hyper-luminous quasar at cosmic noon and found two distinct wind components blasting away from the black hole, details of which are outlined in a paper submitted to the arXiv preprint server on June 3. The study has been submitted to the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics and is currently under minor revision.
Scientists have observed an extremely fast outflow from a faraway black hole. They used XMM-Newton and NuSTAR to study a very bright quasar. The research identified two separate wind components moving away from the black hole. The findings were shared in a paper on the arXiv preprint server. The study is being reviewed for publication in a scientific journal. This discovery offers new insights into black hole behavior. It helps scientists understand how black holes influence their surroundings. The research contributes to our knowledge of cosmic phenomena.
It enhances understanding of how black holes interact with their environment.
