Health Minister Orders Suspension of Noakhali General Hospital Superintendent After Surprise Inspection
নোয়াখালীর ২৫০ শয্যার জেনারেল হাসপাতালে হঠাৎ পরিদর্শন করেছেন স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবারকল্যাণমন্ত্রী সরদার মো. সাখাওয়াত হোসেন। এ সময় তিনি হাসপাতালে নানা অব্যবস্থাপনা ও অপরিচ্ছন্ন পরিবেশ দেখে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেন। পরে হাসপাতালটির তত্ত্বাবধায়ক চিকিৎসক মোহাম্মদ ফরিদ উদ্দিন চৌধুরীকে তিনি দায়িত্ব থেকে প্রত্যাহারের ঘোষণা দেন। আজ মঙ্গলবার বেলা দুইটার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। হাসপাতাল সূত্র জানায়, পরিদর্শনের আগে স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী কোনো ঘোষণা দেননি। তিনি ডায়রিয়া ও হাম রোগীদের আইসোলেশন ওয়ার্ডসহ বিভিন্ন বিভা
The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sarder M. Sakhawat Hossain, conducted a surprise inspection of the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital and expressed strong dissatisfaction with the observed mismanagement and unsanitary conditions. Following his inspection, the minister announced the immediate suspension of the hospital's Superintendent, Dr. Mohammad Farid Uddin Chowdhury. The District Civil Surgeon, M. Anwar Hossain, has been instructed to take over as the acting superintendent. During his visit, the minister witnessed firsthand issues such as poor sanitation in bathrooms and patient wards, and received complaints from patients' relatives about ward boys accepting bribes. He ordered strict action against those involved in irregularities.
