An employee at the Prilep General Hospital has been arrested for allegedly photographing a patient's payment card and subsequently withdrawing approximately 90,000 denars over four months. The suspect, identified as I.S. (40), allegedly captured the card details while the patient was paying for services. From October 2025 to February 2026, I.S. reportedly conducted 71 online transactions totaling 90,174 denars. The Ministry of Interior reported that criminal charges for 'damaging and unauthorized access to computer systems' and 'misuse of personal data' have been filed against the suspect. The investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the fraudulent activity.
