The National Council of Loaders of Cameroon (CNCC) has announced the suspension of the mandatory Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (BESC) for goods in transit. This measure, effective until further notice, applies to all stakeholders in the logistics and foreign trade chain. The suspension aims to improve traffic flow on transit corridors serving landlocked countries and reduce administrative burdens for economic operators. It aligns with recommendations from a tripartite forum involving Cameroon, Chad, and the Central African Republic, focusing on enhancing regional trade fluidity. The CNCC emphasizes that necessary mechanisms for cargo traceability will be maintained. This decision is part of broader efforts by sub-regional states to boost logistical competitiveness and streamline trade exchanges.
