Tycoon David Greenhalgh Convicted in UK for International Arms Trafficking
Southwark Crown Court has scheduled the sentencing of both men for July 22, 2026
British businessman David Greenhalgh, once prominent in Uganda for his relationship with 'Bad Black,' has been convicted in London for orchestrating a massive international illegal arms trafficking ring. Greenhalgh, 68, and his associate Christos Farmakis, 48, were found guilty of supplying military-grade weaponry, including fighter jets and missiles, to conflict zones subject to international embargoes. The illicit network operated between 2009 and 2016, targeting countries like Sudan, Libya, and Iraq. Greenhalgh used his 'Airservices' group of companies to mask transactions, while Farmakis facilitated deals through a Cyprus-based entity. This conviction marks a dramatic downfall for Greenhalgh, who was previously involved in fraud cases in Uganda.
The conviction of David Greenhalgh highlights the global reach of illegal arms trafficking and the severe consequences for those involved.
