Tuzla Canton Introduces Unified Public Transport Fare System
Nakon višegodišnjeg negodovanja građana zbog visokih cijena prijevoza i neujednačenog sistema javnog saobraćaja, Tuzlanski kanton započeo je jednu od najvećih reformi u ovoj oblasti. Uz poboljšanje kvaliteta usluga, građani javni prijevoz sada mogu koristiti po prilično niskim cijenama.
The Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina is launching a new public transport system with a unified fare structure, allowing travel to Tuzla from anywhere in the canton for a single price of 2.5 KM. Monthly passes will cost 88 KM. This initiative, supported by 7 million KM in subsidies, aims to make public transport more accessible and affordable. The system covers 18 cantonal lines, including new routes to Kladanj and Čelić, and the international airport. Previously, Tuzla was the only region in Europe with fully commercialized public transport. The new pricing aims to benefit all citizens, with special rates for pensioners and veterans.
This reform introduces affordable and unified public transport fares, significantly benefiting residents and improving accessibility within Tuzla Canton.
