Sara Mesquita, Emprofac's manager, stated that the international conflict has led to increased costs and longer "lead times" for transporting goods. She cited insulin as an example, where securing certain references now takes over six months. The global logistics market's complexity is exacerbated by the conflict. To mitigate these issues, Emprofac is strengthening stock management and supply predictability. While acknowledging occasional shortages, Mesquita assured efforts to secure therapeutic alternatives. Portugal remains the primary supplier due to language requirements, but Emprofac is exploring partnerships with other countries, including Brazil.
