Australia has lowered its travel advice warnings for several Middle Eastern countries following the signing of a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran this week. Follow live.

The prime minister has questioned One Nation's policy positions on the minimum wage and workers' rights ahead of Pauline Hanson's address to the National Press Club today.

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor was in Sydney's south today, talking with a business owner about the government's proposed changes to the capital gains tax discount.

Taylor held a press conference shortly after. He delivered his take on the last couple of days (the two-day inquiry was a "sham", he said, and reminded people he wanted to scrap net zero and "end mass migration").

"This country needs a credible plan and a competent team to drive it," he said.

When it came to questions, he was only asked one: what was he expecting from Pauline Hanson's address to the National Press Club today?

He continued on this theme of needing a "credible plan". Taylor acknowledged people were feeling "angry and understandably so", but he said the answer wasn't One Nation.

"Scrutiny matters, and frankly, One Nation is yet to give this country a credible plan," he said.

Taylor referred to reports in the Nine newspapers that One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts called the US "the world's greatest terrorist organsiation".

"There's serious questions that have to be answered ... The answers to those questions really matter. And right now, I am every day subjecting myself to the press, having press conferences like this, and answering those hard questions that matter."
