Race-by-race preview and tips for Gosford on Thursday

Internal Affairs is a Home Affairs colt that had two starts in November and December of last year and showed potential with a fourth behind Fireball at Rosehill on debut before a second at Randwick in the Inglis Nursery. He resumes here after two good trials and looks set to run a bold race fresh. 7. Cosmo Girl is on debut here having had three trials and she’s shown enough in those to be rated hard to hold out. 10. Kursaal debuted with a solid second at Scone and can show up again against these. 11. Lilandra is a filly on debut that has had five trials in total and has been placed in the most recent two. A bold showing is on the cards.

2. Kunis had performed well in trials before making her debut with a strong victory at Kembla Grange. She raced on the speed in that event and was strong to the line and can go in with the job. 1. October Star was a Newcastle winner on debut in January and followed that up with a seventh at the same track when not disgraced. He’s had two trials in preparation for this. 3. Vingt Neuf Noir won at Newcastle when last produced and has claims again, while 4. Difensivo can improve on his resuming effort at Scone.

7. Rising Revolution has finished third in both Hawkesbury starts either side of a spell. She debuted with a placing behind the handy Jellicious and resumed with another placing behind Scuro Star. This looks with her reach. 12. Yeszem ran well enough when a last start fourth at Hawkesbury to be considered a chance against these. 6. Copycat is massive odds but has shown ability and can show up if on his best behaviour. 8. Overshadow was placed on the Kensington track at Randwick in January and resumes from a spell here having run second in a recent Rosehill trial.

10. Sirius Moss went down narrowly when a close-up second at Wyong when racing on the speed and fighting on well to the line. She’s drawn ideally here and gets her chance to break through. 9. Satono Jasmine ran fourth in the same race Sirius Moss contested last time out and warrants plenty of thought again in this line-up. 6. What A Gent comes out of the same race in which he finished third and another forward showing is expected, while 4. Copartner Pegasus has been placed in his most recent two starts.

1. Life Young Ever ran a good race on debut at Kembla Grange when making late ground to finish third behind Kunis. He’s drawn the inside gate here and will benefit from a four-kilogram apprentice allowance. 2. Setta Icon has been placed in three of nine starts and wasn’t beaten far when a last-start fourth at the Sapphire Coast. This looks within reach.
