Girl dies in four-vehicle crash in West Melbourne
A girl has died after a four-vehicle crash on a major arterial route in inner-city Melbourne this afternoon.

A girl has died after a four-vehicle crash on a major arterial route in inner-city Melbourne this afternoon.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident on Dynon Road, in West Melbourne, just before 4:30pm.
Police said a female child in one of the vehicles died at the scene, with further information not yet available.
The male driver of that vehicle and a second child were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A woman and child also travelling in the same car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to hospital.
A male driver in a second vehicle was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman driving a third car was treated for minor injuries at the scene by paramedics.
A man driving a fourth vehicle was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
