Hungarian and Serbian media reported that the MOL Group has been granted more time to negotiate the purchase of a majority stake in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) from the Russian Gazpromneft.
The Croatian JANAF oil pipeline company said it secured an extension of the OFAC license allowing it to continue meeting its obligations with NIS until July 1, 2026.
The Serbian state TV (RTS) cited unnamed sources who said the US Treasury’s OFAC gave MOL an extension of the deadline to complete the negotiations to July 1. OFAC also extended the NIS operating license to July 1 a day earlier.
Hungary Today quoted an announcement on the Budapest Stock Exchange portal which it said confirmed the extension of the negotiation deadline.
