Sri Lankan monks arrested after 110kg of cannabis discovered in their luggage

Sri Lankan authorities have apprehended several Buddhist monks following the discovery of a significant quantity of cannabis. The monks were found to be carrying approximately 110 kilograms of the drug in total. Officials reported that each individual monk was found with around 5 kilograms of a potent cannabis strain known as Kush, concealed within specially constructed false compartments in their luggage.
This incident raises concerns about drug trafficking and the potential involvement of religious figures in illicit activities.
