EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France, June 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean President Lee Jae Myung held summit talks with Kenyan President William Ruto on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, to discuss cooperation in the economy, development and other areas.
During the talks, the leaders agreed to enhance sustainable cooperation aimed at promoting coexistence and shared growth between the two countries, the South Korean presidential office said.
They cited infrastructure, energy, transportation, water management and irrigation as areas where they seek to expand cooperation.
Ruto, in particular, expressed hope that South Korean companies would participate more actively in Kenya's economic development.
