Applications have been invited from eligible teachers for the National Teachers Awards–2026, which recognise outstanding contributions to school education across the country.

Teachers and Headmasters / Principals working in recognised government, aided and private schools, with a minimum of 10 years of regular service, are eligible to apply. However, contract teachers are not eligible for the awards.

Applications can be submitted online (https://nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in/) till July 13. The selection process will involve scrutiny by the district and State-level committees, following which the final awardees will be chosen by an independent national jury.

Director of School Education Thameem Ansaria has appealed to all the eligible teachers across the State to make use of the opportunity and submit their applications within the stipulated time.
