Priyank Kharge lacks intellectual capacity to run Home Ministry, says BJP MP

“Priyank Kharge does not have the intellectual capacity required to run the Home Ministry,” BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi said in Vijayapura on Wednesday.

“Priyank Kharge has been made a Minister only because of his father (AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge)’s long service to the Congress. He should focus on the affairs of the department and also, ensuring peace in the State, rather than raising irrelevant issues like the RSS being an unregistered organisation, etc. What will he achieve by getting the RSS registered? All those who tried to disturb the RSS have not survived,” he said.

“I want to ask a few questions to Priyank Kharge. Why is he raising questions of the need for the RSS to register with the government? It is not the job of the Home Minister to do that. How is any issue related to the RSS relevant to a Dalit? I feel very bad about this.”Ramesh Jigajinagi,Bharatiya Janata Party MP

“Priyank Kharge should forget about the RSS. He can get any information about that organisation from the common man,’’ he advised the Home Minister.

“I want to ask a few questions to Priyank Kharge. Why is he raising questions of the need for the RSS to register with the government? It is not the job of the Home Minister to do that. How is any issue related to the RSS relevant to a Dalit? I feel very bad about this,” he said.

He told reporters that the country has made great strides in the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that several Union Ministries have released a large amount of funds for infrastructure projects in Vijayapura district.
