Ministers (Roads and Buildings) B.C. Janardhan Reddy and (Minority Welfare) N. Md. Farooq said that special attention is being given to ensure that the benefits of the government schemes reach every eligible family.
The Ministers, along with Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari, District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Suneel Sheoran, and elected representatives from the district, participated in the “Two Years of Trust – Development and Welfare” programme in Nandyal town on Wednesday.
Mr. Farooq said that development programmes were being implemented effectively through the coordinated efforts of the district administration. He advised officials to remain accessible to the public and to strive to resolve any issues they face.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy asserted that the State government was committed to fulfilling its election promises and priority was being given to the education sector alongside measures to create employment opportunities for the youth. He added that the government was taking steps to attract new investments by fostering a favourable environment for industrial growth in the State.
Highlighting the importance of road development, he said that extensive road repair and development works were being undertaken by the R&B Department and efforts were under way to achieve the goal of pothole-free roads across the State.
Ms. Rajakumari said that agriculture and allied sectors were the primary drivers of Nandyal district’s economic growth, contributing approximately 45% to the district’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). She said that various programmes were being implemented and called upon the public, public representatives, and officials to work collectively to propel Nandyal district further along the path of development.
Meanwhile, Ms. Shabari said that the government was committed to the comprehensive development of north and coastal Andhra, and Rayalaseema regions, apart from attracting massive investments to the State over the past two years.
