Estado acusa sobrepago de transferencia a fugitivo en asesinato de Shiweda
The state has alleged that murder accused Abner Mateus communicated with a fugitive suspect before and after the attack on prosecutor Justine Shiweda, while his co-accused and nephew, Petrus Shikwaya, allegedly transferred money to the same suspect minutes after the attack. Shiweda was shot and doused with corrosive acid at Ondangwa on 17 October last year. She died in hospital in February. El estado acusó a Abner Mateus de haber comunicado con un fugitivo antes y después del ataque al fiscal Justine Shiweda, y a su pariente Petrus Shikwaya de haber transferido dinero al mismo fugitivo minutos después. La acusación surgió durante la audiencia de fianza de Shikwaya. Mateus negó las acusaciones y dijo que no recuerda la transacción. El fiscal Yeukai Kangira afirmó que el estado ha establecido que Mateus habló con el fugitivo y que Shikwaya envió 4.950 N$ al fugitivo 10 minutos después del ataque. Mateus no recuerda la transacción y no cree que haya estado involucrado.
