FIFA has invited Yoon Su-jin, a South Korean fan known as Inonyang, to attend the South Korea vs. Mexico World Cup match following an incident where she was subjected to a racist gesture. The invitation, extended on June 17, comes ahead of the June 18 match. FIFA stated its pleasure at Yoon's acceptance and highlighted the event's timing coinciding with the International Day Against Hate Speech (June 18) to promote respect and inclusion. The gesture, performed by a Mexican man identified as Ulises Fernando Bernal Miramontes, president of the Jalisco Surveyors and Geoinformatics Engineers Association, involved pulling his eyes sideways. Miramontes has since apologized and resigned from his position.
