NDRC: 125 Billion Yuan in Consumer Goods Trade-In Funds Issued in First Two Batches by End of May

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) reported that 125 billion yuan in funds for consumer goods trade-in programs have been disbursed in the first two batches by the end of May. NDRC spokesperson Li Chao stated that these initiatives have been effective in stimulating consumption and supporting economic growth. The commission has previously allocated 185.1 billion yuan for equipment renewal, supporting over 11,000 projects with a total investment exceeding 840 billion yuan. The consumer goods trade-in program alone has driven sales of related products exceeding 820 billion yuan and benefited over 110 million people. These measures aim to boost domestic demand and facilitate economic recovery.
The disbursement of 125 billion yuan for consumer goods trade-ins demonstrates a significant government effort to stimulate domestic consumption and drive economic recovery.
