No official communication of ICC warrant vs. Bong Go -- DOJ spox

Similar to other agencies, the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday said it has not received any official communication from the International Criminal Court (ICC) about an alleged arrest warrant against Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.

In a statement, Justice spokesperson Polo Martinez said the information was verified with the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC) as of 10 a.m.

Martinez said the warrant must be transmitted directly to the PCTC.

“It’s to be transmitted to the PCTC directly as part of the PCTC’s mandate to control and prevent transnational crime,” he said.

This came after Davao City lawmaker Paulo “Pulong” Duterte claimed that a “highly reliable source” informed him that alleged warrants were issued against Go and two former police officers.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Philippine National Police, and the National Bureau of Investigation have also denied Duterte’s claims. —RF, GMA News
