The fire incident was reported on Thursday (June 18, 2026) at Atlantic Building near Sherly Rajan Road in Mumbai’s Bandra West.

According to Mumbai’s civic body, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is confined to electric wiring, electrical installations, household articles, etc., in Room No. 701 and 702 on the 7th floor of a Ground + 7 floored building.

Police, 108 Ambulance, Adani Electric Distribution Company and BMC’s Ward Staff were deployed at the location.

The three people injured were taken to the Bandra Bhabha Hospital. The doctor declared one person brought dead, who is identified as Azim Barodawala (64).

The other two injured are identified as Shivshankar Bharat Puri (Fireman)(32) and Navnath Mohan Bite, Fireman (34). They were admitted due to suffocation, condition stable.
