Bank Official and Wife Assaulted in Mymensingh for Refusing Local Syndicate's Demands
ময়মনসিংহে নির্মাণাধীন ভবনের মালামাল স্থানীয় একটি সিন্ডিকেটের কাছ থেকে কিনতে রাজি না হওয়ায় এক ব্যাংক কর্মকর্তা ও তাঁর স্ত্রীকে মারধরের অভিযোগ উঠেছে। এ ঘটনার সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম ফেসবুকে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। ঘটনার পর গত সোমবার থানায় মামলা করা হলে গতকাল বুধবার রাতে প্রধান অভিযুক্ত ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। গ্রেপ্তার ব্যক্তির নাম মো. সাইফুল ইসলাম (৪০)। তিনি নগরের বলাশপুর কলমিস্ত্রি মোড় এলাকার নজরুল ইসলামের ছেলে। গতকাল রাতে জেলার ত্রিশাল থেকে তাঁকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
