Prices for robusta coffee have increased in Cameroon's main production areas following several months of stability. The price per kilogram now ranges between 1,275 and 1,400 FCFA, an increase of 75 to 100 FCFA compared to the previous three months. While this rise is seen positively by producers, prices remain below early-year levels. Robusta briefly surpassed cocoa in national market value in March, sparking optimism, but cocoa prices have since recovered. Despite the gap, the recent increase in robusta prices could improve coffee farmers' incomes. This trend is occurring amidst efforts to revitalize Cameroon's coffee sector.
