Survey: AI Blurs Line Between Real and Fake Online Content, 88% Struggle to Differentiate
Rezultati ukazuju na to da veštačka inteligencija narušava sposobnost ljudi da razlikuju stvarnost od iluzije, barem u onlajn okruženju.
A survey of 1,500 individuals across Austria, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and the US reveals that artificial intelligence is significantly impacting people's ability to distinguish between real and fake online content. Approximately 88% of respondents reported finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate between human-generated or authentic content and AI-generated or false information. The study, conducted by cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes, suggests that AI is eroding the perception of reality in the online environment. A similar percentage of respondents also found it challenging to distinguish between scams and legitimate content, indicating a broader issue of trust and authenticity online.
The survey's finding that 88% of people struggle to differentiate real from AI-generated content highlights a critical challenge to information integrity and trust in the digital age.
