Registration Opens for Bangladesh Math and Science Olympiad for Primary Students

Registration has begun for the 'Bangladesh Mathematics and Science Olympiad (BDMSO) 2026,' a major talent-search event for primary-level students. Jointly organized by the Society for the Population of Science, Bangladesh (SPSB) and the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN), the Olympiad aims to select the Bangladesh team for the 23rd International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) 2026 in Indonesia. Eligibility requires participants to be under 13 years old and studying in or below the sixth grade, with specific criteria for British curriculum students. The competition features 'Olympiad' and 'Quiz' categories, with national rounds scheduled in July across four regions. Selected students will attend a three-day national camp, followed by the formation of a 12-member national team. Last year, the Bangladesh team achieved significant success at the IMSO, winning 12 medals.

This Olympiad provides a platform for young Bangladeshi students to showcase their talents in mathematics and science, fostering interest and potentially identifying future leaders in STEM fields.
