Injured Monkey Seeks Treatment at Clinic, Arousing Astonishment

An injured monkey, suffering from pain, reportedly sought medical attention at the Hamida Medical Center in Pangsha, Rajbari. Witnesses described the monkey sitting on a bench, appearing to indicate its injury, and even showing its wound to onlookers. The animal had reportedly been injured by a palm seller two days prior. After initially visiting the clinic and leaving, it returned later. Due to the lack of a veterinarian at the private clinic, the animal was eventually rescued and treated by the livestock department. While the clinic staff and locals attempted to contact authorities, the response was initially slow. The veterinary surgeon confirmed the monkey had an infection in its previous wound and administered injections, noting that while they typically treat domestic animals, they provided care for the wild animal. The forest department is now attempting to transfer the monkey to a wildlife conservation center.
