Two Under-Construction Bridges in Rupganj to Be Completed by Next Year, Ministers Assure

State Ministers for Road Transport and Bridges, and Shipping have assured that the construction of two bridges—Kayetpara-Nagarnagar and Ichhapura—over the Balu River in Rupganj, Narayanganj, will be completed by next year. The assurance came during an inspection of the under-construction Kayetpara-Nagarnagar bridge. The ministers stated that the projects, long-awaited by the local community, will significantly improve connectivity between Rupganj and the capital city. They also spoke about the government's commitment to completing unfinished development projects and initiating new ones to enhance the country's communication infrastructure. The Kayetpara-Nagarnagar bridge project began in 2003 with an initial budget of 58 million Taka but has remained incomplete for over two decades, while the Ichhapura bridge project also faces delays.

The completion of these two bridges is expected to significantly improve transportation and economic connectivity in the Rupganj area, addressing long-standing infrastructure needs.
