A tourist from Macedonia has tragically drowned on a beach near Nea Kallikratia, a town on the first peninsula of Halkidiki, Greece. The 75-year-old woman was pulled from the sea and rushed to a hospital in the nearby town of Nea Mudania. Unfortunately, medical professionals could only confirm her death upon arrival. Greek media reported the incident, and a preliminary investigation is underway by the Second Port Authority in Nea Mudania, under the Central Port Authority in Thessaloniki. Authorities have ordered an autopsy and forensic examination of the deceased woman's body to determine the exact cause of death.
