However, platforms that negotiate and sign new agreements to pay for news content will be eligible for significant offsets, ranging from 150% to 170% of the levy amount.
This initiative aims to ensure that digital platforms contribute financially to the creation of news content they benefit from, supporting the sustainability of Australian journalism.
