A substantial 4,703-hectare farm belonging to Michael Bronkhorst, an accountant facing fraud charges totaling N$82 million, is scheduled for auction today. Bronkhorst, arrested in 2024, had his assets ordered for liquidation by the High Court following a sequestration order secured by creditor Petrichor Capital. The farm, known as Otjomasso or Okamatangara, located near Summerdown in the Okahandja district, features a feedlot and dairy operations. The government waived its right to purchase the land in February, citing cost and resettlement criteria. Auctioneers NamAgri highlighted the property as a significant agricultural investment opportunity, including a homestead, manager's house, guest chalets, and extensive agricultural facilities. The sale will include approximately 320 head of cattle and features solar power and irrigation infrastructure. The online auction is set to run from June 18 to June 25.

This auction is noteworthy as it involves the liquidation of significant assets tied to a high-profile fraud case, illustrating the financial repercussions of alleged white-collar crime.
