South African Fintech Yoco Unveils Integrated Platform to Reduce Small Business App Overload

South African fintech company Yoco is shifting its strategy to provide a comprehensive business management platform for small merchants, aiming to reduce their reliance on multiple disconnected applications. At its Yoco Next 2026 event in Johannesburg, the company announced over 20 new products and features. These include AI-powered business tools, loyalty programs, savings products, accounting integrations, and industry-specific software, alongside a R250 million ($15.2 million) annual reduction in transaction fees. Yoco's goal is to consolidate functions like inventory, accounting, bookings, and customer loyalty into a single, affordable platform. The company also introduced Yoco AI, an artificial intelligence assistant set to launch in Q3 2026, which will analyze business data to aid decision-making. Yoco Connect, a hub linking accounting, e-commerce, and inventory systems, was also unveiled.

This move by Yoco addresses a significant pain point for small businesses by simplifying their operations through an integrated digital platform, potentially boosting efficiency and profitability.
