This mobilization follows the transmission of draft laws concerning the Labor Code and Social Security Code to the National Assembly's Laws Commission without prior consultation with social partners. Unions denounce this unilateral procedure, asserting it violates commitments made in the National Pact for Social Stability. The FSDT demands an immediate suspension of the parliamentary process and tripartite discussions involving the government, unions, and employers before final adoption. Additionally, they seek the extension of housing allowances to health contract agents, the reinstatement of 911 dismissed workers, and the settlement of social liabilities for closed companies. Unions warn the government of responsibility for any social climate deterioration and reaffirm their commitment to dialogue while reserving the right to use all legal means to defend workers' rights.
