A teacher from Blackpool, UK, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder and sexual abuse of his 13-month-old adopted son, Preston Davy. Jamie Worley was also found guilty on 13 counts related to indecent images of a child. His partner, John McGowan-Fazakerley, received a 25-year sentence for sexual assault, child cruelty, and causing the child's death. Worley initially claimed the baby drowned accidentally but medical evidence, including the child being dry upon arrival at the hospital, contradicted his account. Investigations revealed the baby had endured continuous physical, psychological, and sexual abuse since his adoption in March 2023. Photos and videos documenting the abuse were found on the defendants' phones. The child suffered 40 traumatic injuries, including bruises and a broken arm.
